One of the most common requests I get is about my new client process – that is, once clients book, what exactly do they get? This answer is going to be different depending on the service that they booked, and it really doesn’t need to be extensive or complicated.
Remember that this is just my own process – I prefer to keep things simple! I’ve tried to send binders of information and whatnot in the past, but it usually just doesn’t work for me. For full service clients, they also receive information as needed, rather than just a lump of it in the beginning. Some planners do have a full wedding planning binder that they send to clients, but I personally think it’s not an efficient use of my time to recreate what so many others have done already. That being said – would you all be interested in a binder that you could modify to your branding and send to your clients?
Typically, my clients receive the following:
General Wedding Planning Task List
For month of coordination clients, this doesn’t include due dates for their wedding, but it is a task list that they can use when planning their own wedding. I use my regular Wedding Planning Task List, and specify the end items that I will take care as their wedding coordinator.
For full service clients, they won’t receive this task list until after their first meeting, in which we will go over their wedding day vision and priorities. That way, I can add dates and rearrange items according to their specific wedding vision.
